History of DJJES

The name of the public elementary educational institution situated at the heart of sitio Bucal, Brgy Sampaloc II, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, is now DELFIN J. JARANILLA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (formerly Bucal Elementary School.)Delfin J. Jaranilla Elementary School was established in 1969 as a primary school under the house of the two-storey building owned by Mr. Antonio Reyes, under the supervision of the first teacher, Mrs. Maura Hayag. Since the population of the school grew bigger and bigger there was a need for a school site and building. Through the initiative of Mr. Jose de los Santos, the food production coordinator of the District I of Dasmariñas during that time, and with the support of the late Mayor Narciso Guevarra, a 6,000 sq. m was donated by D.J. Enterprises owned by ex-justice Delfin J. Jaranilla. Although the documents were not yet processed, in January 21, 1980, the first school building was constructed through the inspiration of the then Schools Division Superintendent, Loreto G. Riego de Dios. In 1990 it became a complete Elementary School and because of the spontaneous growth of enrollment, more buildings were constructed and the teaching force increased. With the support of its internal and external stakeholders, the programs and projects of the school were materialized. Through the effective management and leadership of the school head and with the collaboration of the teachers and other stakeholders, the vision and mission of the school are being achieved. The school was formally renamed last September 2012 in respect with the descendants of the owner of the lot area where the school was located.
